Iris Bahr is a writer, director, performer and novelist. Her first solo show Planet America was nominated for the LA Weekly Award for Best Solo Performance and ran both in LA and NY. Her second solo show DAI (Enough), in which she depicted eleven different characters in a Tel Aviv cafe moments before a suicide bomber enters, had an extended successful run Off-Broadway. Bahr garnered two Drama Desk nominations for Best Solo Show and Sound Design and was the winner of the Lucille Lortel Award for the Best Solo Show. In addition to her New York run, Bahr has performed DAI in London, Edinburgh, Italy, across the United States and in Israel. She was also invited to perform DAI at the United Nations for over 100 ambassadors and delegates.
Bahr has written two successful memoirs, Dork Whore and Macchu My Picchu. Dork Whore is currently in development as a feature film. In addition to numerous TV credits, Bahr wrote, directed and starred in her own TV series SVETLANA which ran for two seasons on Mark Cuban's cable network HDNet.
